I haven't had a ton of experience with higher end foundations and this is one of the first ones that I've tried. I actually decided to pick this up on a recommendation from Tiffany D. on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/user/MakeupByTiffanyD). I've read so many great reviews on this foundation and watched so many video reviews as well and found that this foundation had a very good chance of working for me, so I bit the bullet, went to Sephora, and bought it.
This foundation is said to be chine controlling, complete coverage, water-resistant, and oil-free. On Sephora's website it says that this foundation provides full coverage, evens out the skin tone, provides full coverage, hides imperfections, and mattifies with a powder finish. After using this foundation for about a month now, I can say that I completely agree. This foundation offers really great coverage and does a great job at hiding my imperfections.
What really amazed me is when I forgot to put powder on one day and I could't tell if I had or not. It turns out that I did forget to put powder on that day but I didn't feel the need to apply it once I realized I had forgotten it. My face stayed pretty much shine free for most of the day and the foundation didn't go anywhere. I can honestly say that I would feel completely comfortable not even using powder with this foundation.
Like I have previously mentioned, this foundation keeps me mostly or completely matte throughout the day. This is the best product I've come across for controlling oil on my face. You do have to be careful because it can cling to dry patches and can look cakey if you aren't careful. I apply this foundation with my beauty blender and I don't ever have a problem with it looking too heavy on my skin.
I know this foundation is $36 but I think it's totally worth it. I highly recommend this foundation to anyone that tends to get oily skin throughout the day. I wouldn't recommend this to normal or drier skin types because it can look heavy and cling to dry patches. If you are thinking about picking it up, please do.
